ProFixNow

Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 18, 2026

ProFixNow (“ProFixNow,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates profixnow.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Please read it carefully before using our Site.

1. Information We Collect

From Homeowners

When you submit a service request on our Site, we collect:

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Email address (optional)
  • Description of your service need
  • Service location (city and state, based on the page you visited)

From Service Professionals (Contractors)

When a contractor applies to our network, we collect:

  • Business name, trade, and primary service city
  • Contact name, phone number, and email address
  • Payment information — billing and payment details are handled directly by our payment processor, Stripe. We store only a reference identifier, not raw card data.
  • Website URL (optional)

Automatically Collected Information

We automatically collect certain technical information when you visit our Site, including:

  • IP address and approximate location
  • Browser type and operating system
  • Pages visited, time on page, and referring URL
  • Usage data collected via Google Analytics 4 (see Section 6)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Match homeowner service requests with qualified contractors in the requested area
  • Deliver lead information to the appropriate contractor via email or SMS
  • Verify contractor identity and email address
  • Process contractor payments and send billing-related communications
  • Send service-related transactional emails (not marketing)
  • Improve our Site, detect abuse, and ensure security
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) Consent

By submitting a service request on our Site, you expressly consent to being contacted by ProFixNow and by independent service professionals in our network regarding your request. This contact may be made by telephone (including automated dialers or pre-recorded messages), text message (SMS), or email, at the phone number or email address you provide, even if your number appears on a national or state Do-Not-Call registry.

Message and data rates may apply. You may revoke this consent at any time by replying STOP to any text message or by emailing privacy@profixnow.com.

4. Information Sharing

We share information only in the following circumstances:

With Contractors (for homeowners)

When a homeowner submits a service request, we share their name, phone number, email (if provided), service description, and location with the one contractor in our network who covers that trade and city. We do not send the same lead to multiple contractors.

Service Providers

We use trusted third-party vendors who process data on our behalf:

  • Stripe— payment processing for contractor billing. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Twilio — SMS notifications (where applicable).
  • Neon / PostgreSQL — secure cloud database hosting.
  • Vercel — website hosting and edge delivery.

These vendors are contractually required to use your information only to provide services to us and not for their own marketing purposes.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or government request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

Business Transfers

If ProFixNow is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice on our Site if such a transfer materially changes how your information is handled.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain homeowner service request data for up to 2 years to resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations. Contractor account data is retained for the duration of the contractor relationship and for 3 years afterward. You may request earlier deletion (see Section 8).

6. Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect anonymized usage data. This data is processed by Google in accordance with their privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings.

We do not use cookies for cross-site advertising or behavioral profiling.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS), access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure. Payment data is never stored on our servers — it is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor.

No system is completely secure. While we take data protection seriously, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, disclosure, or data loss will never occur. If we become aware of a security breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Deletion — request that we delete your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Opt out of communications — unsubscribe from non-transactional emails or revoke TCPA consent

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@profixnow.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We will respond within 30 days.

9. State Privacy Rights

California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) give you additional rights regarding your personal information.

Categories of personal information we collect: Identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address); commercial information (payment history for contractors); Internet activity (page views, referral source); geolocation data (city/state); inferences drawn from the above.

Additional CPRA rights: In addition to access, correction, and deletion rights, California residents may also request to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information and to correct inaccurate personal information we hold.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: We do not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To submit a CCPA request, email privacy@profixnow.com or call (720) 499-1265. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

As a Colorado-based business, ProFixNow complies with the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA). Colorado residents have the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of their personal data, and to opt out of profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We do not conduct such profiling. To exercise these rights, email privacy@profixnow.com.

Residents of Virginia, Connecticut, and Utah

Residents of Virginia (CDPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), and Utah (UCPA) have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and port personal data. To submit a request, email privacy@profixnow.com. We will respond within 45 days as required by applicable law.

Do Not Track

Our Site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track (DNT) signals, as no industry-wide standard for DNT compliance has been adopted. We use Google Analytics 4 for site analytics; you may opt out as described in Section 6.
